So basically not much has changed with my idea, I really like the idea of implementing emotion into my piece. I really want to support this work as something that is every bit as real as human emotions. I want people to feel some sense of remorse if they use the program and make it sad. I am basically looking at this program as being an entity on the level of an infantile child. Although I do not think it will be nearly as complicated, I want people to handle it with that kind of care. Although it is just a computer program, the idea behing it is that there will be a time when we are going to have to make this distinction on what is ethically or morally correct when it comes to how we treat computers.

I definitely think it will be a lot harder for someone to do something "mean" to a computer if it reacts emotionally based off of these actions. That being said, I still think that a majority of people who use this program will end up not feeling like they can relate to it because it is only a computer. If there was a way in which I could make this program seem as if it were a small child, I think that it would drastically change the way that people interact with it.

If the program no longer looks as if it is a computer program, I think that will really change this level of interaction. At this point I am unsure of how I would achieve this sort of masking of the program, but I will be thinking about how it will be possible.
